Sydney and her mothering

Sydney loves to setup all her babies and stuffed animals and "teach" them. She'll hold up a book "read" stories to them (she can't read et so she makes up stuff to go along with them pictures. It is so cute and as you can see sometimes she even makes us join in.

Another Happy Halloween

We always have a great Halloween time, this is was no different. Our partying started with two family parties for Hunter's B-Day on Sunday afternoon, complete with homemade rootbeer, chili, and cake and icecream. Then on Tuesday Marci took the kids to Lagoon for Frightmares, and that evening we all went to Hunter's choice: Ruby River. And finally on Wednesday, the kids wore their costumes at school, I took them out trick or treating and then we all went out to Marci's parents.
Hunter got some cool toys for his birthday; two different remote control cars and a really fun scooter!

Hannah Montana Concert!

Yes, we did it! We took our kids to the Hannah Montana concert last night, though we didn't even decide to go until 6 pm last night (concert started at 7:30) and Marci checked online and found tickets(they must have just released some). We got 13th row tickets! We had a great time. Sydney absolutely loves Hannah/Miley and Hunter likes the Jonas Brothers, the band that opened. It was cool cuz they were also filming last night for a Hannah Montana/Mily Cyrus Concert 3D Movie, that is going to be coming out in theaters, so they also did a lot of extra stuff. As you can see from the pictures Sydney thoroughly enjoyed herself dancing all over the place and Hunter just sat there acting cool.

Not the fastest but the best looking!

Hunter's first pinewood derby was tonight, and though it was not the fastest, it was the best looking! Brett helped Hunter and I shape the car by usings his computerized CNC machine at his shop, then Hunter sanded it and we painted it and put some flaming decals on. We also thought we had some speed secrets figured out but we had a few dificulties with a bent the axle that made it wobble a little and slowed it down, but overall Hunter and I had a great time!

Motocross Mania

A Saturday at my Dad's, Brett built this track in just over an hour. We had a blast riding on it. Luckily we had no significant crashes, unless you count Spencer getting a black eye and scratches, Jaken biffing it on the big double jump, or me flying over the handle bars of my 4-wheeler and having it fall on top of me.

Hunter beat his nemesis!

In the first week of October Hunter's soccer team, Ogden FC, played in a tournament in West Jordan. They played on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (a lot of driving!) They did great and made it to the semifinals. Along the way they beat their long time nemesis, LaRoca, a team from Layton that they have either tied or been beaten by for the last year and a half. So congratulations Hunter! (And it is the only game I missed of his in a long time, cause I had to work).

Kokopelli Trail Ride

Here are the pictures from a great trail ride we went on Monday and yesterday. We went on a trail called th Kokopelli trail. It is a 143 mile trail that goes from Grand Junction to Moab. My cousin's husband, Jeff Good and I rode motocycles, My brother Brett, Taylor, Cecil, BG Fuller and Jeremy went on mountain bikes, and My Dad and my uncle Brent went on polaris rangers, providing water, food, and fuel for all of us. It was a great ride, filled with really rough technical rocky trails to fast gravel roads. It was incredible the speed at which the mt bikers covered that terrain. Being on Motorbikes Jeff and I were able to cover a lot more ground. We rode out to alot of overlooks with some great views. We put about 250 miles in on the motocycles, and we even rode the Slickrock trail. It was amazing the places my dad and brent were able to go on the rangers, just check out the pictures.

Riding the Waves!

Hunter and I went to check out all the new stuff down at the Junction in Ogden. We played video games at Fat Cats, ate at Costa Vida, saw a movie, and of course we rode the Flow Rider. It is a total blast! We had alot of wipe outs, but it didn't take long to get the hang of the boogie board. Now I just have to get the hang of the surf board.

Randy's Wedding.....Finally!

Marci's brother Randy, who was also a great friend of mine before even I met Marci, got married in July to a great girl named Courtney. He finally talked a girl into marrying him or is it the other way around?

Our 4th of July

We had a great 4th despite Marci being in charge of the whole perry celebration and having to get up at 5 am to cook breakfast for 600 people. Marci found time to run in the 1 mile race and I played int he softball tourney. We finished the day off with fireworks at my parents.

Hunter's 1st Motocross Start

We had a fun exciting hot dusty day out at the motocross track, by Smith & Edwards, last Saturday. Hunter raced in two races and loved it and did great for his first time. Now I have to get him a motocycle of his own! (he used one of Brett's boys). If you talk to me ask me about the out of control ATV that the rider had fallen off of when the throttle got stuck wide open, that was coming straight at us at 40 mph (the idoit rider didn't have an emergency shutoff lanyard, like you supose to have to race a ATV). It came 10 feet from taking all of us out and ended up hitting Doug Wheeler's trailer and truck doing quite of bit of damage. Yea, it was pretty scary, we were all very lucky.

Hunter's new soccer GOAL!

Hunter loves this new soccer goal I made for him. The pipe cost $55 at a plumbing store and net I bought at epicsoccer.com for $20.

"Dancing with the Stars" Champions

We were excited for Apollo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough to win "Dancing with the Stars" last night. They have been our favorite couple the whole season. They are just so cute together and I've always liked Apollo as a speed skater and Julianne is from Utah and her dad Brian is one of my patients. I talked to him just before the season started and he was really excited for her cuz she is only 19 and this was her first season on the show. I didn't think much of it until I saw them dancing together and could see they really had a shot to win it, then I got into cheering them on.

Hunter jumping on his new bike!

This is a of pictures of Hunter all decked out in his motorcycle cloths and on his new bike. BY THE WAY THIS POST WAS DONE TOTALLY FROM MY PHONE, I JUST TAKE A PICTURE, ADD IT TO A PICTURE MESSAGE, ADD A TITLE AND MESSAGE AND SEND EMAIL IT TO GO@BLOGGER.COM AND IT AUTOMATICALLY POSTS IT JUST LIKE YOU SEE. COOL HUH?

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star - Pirate Style

This video is hilarious! It is of my sister JeNeal's two kids. It is so funny how serious he is about being a pirate and singing "twinkle twinkle little star".

Cadbury Eggs...Are they smaller?

As you know if you read Marci's Blog she loves cadbury eggs. So I thought this clip was interesting.

Randy talking guns on CNN

Marci's brother Randy is a professor at the University of Utah, and any of you that know him, know that he loves his guns all 20 of them (actually at this point I've lost count). This video is of a CNN story done a few days after the Virginia Tech tragedy, where they interview a couple of students from the U cause Utah is the only state that allows guns on college campuses. One of the guys interviewed is a student of Randy's. There is a short shot of Randy talking about feeling safer knowing one of his students has gun in class. That sounds weird but if even one of the students in that building at VT had a gun, the death toll could have been much less. A gun in the hand of a responsible trained citizen can be very useful at times. Just look what happened at the Trolley Square shooting, there could have been many more dead there if it wasn't for the off duty Ogden officer that was carrying a concealed weapon.

My Little Dancing Princess! Well at least 66% of the time.

Sydney loves to dance and cheerlead, so for the last quite a few months she has been going to dance one a week and learning her teddy bear dance. at her first competition in March, her cousin Kendall who takes dance with her was not able to be there. That combined with Sydney hardly sleeping the night before lead to a tantrum in the middle of the gym (as you will see in the first video, its hilarious). After having a talk with her, making sure she got plenty of sleep, and having Kendall there, at her next two compitions she did awesome (as you'll see in the second video). She has one last competion next week then over the summer she going to take cheerleading. She can't Wait!

Just for Marci! "Opposites Attract" by Paula Abdul

On Marci's blog MSatterthwaite.blogspot.com she posted a blog about how opposite we are in alot of things, and how opposites attract, So this music video "Opposites Attract" by Paula Abdul from the 80's (I love 80's music and Marci hates it, opposites once again!) is going out to my Beautiful wife!

It's official we've become a soccer family!

Yes, I think we are offically a soccer family. Let prove it by just giving you a run down of a normal week: Tuesday, Hunter has Soccer practice with his comp team, Wed: outdoor game with comp team. Thurs: Indoor game(last week they won the session championship for the second time & Hunter got his yellow card!) and sometimes he has an AYSO game, Friday: AYSO practice. Sat: AYSO game and Marci & I have an coed over 30 indoor game. (It's been quite the experience, Marci been taken down several times, hit square in the face with a ball, and scored 3 goals, I just load up on the Energy pills and I'm good to go). and Marci is starting a indoor womens league soon. We've been to two Real games (there are a blast). So doesn't that prove it!

Moto Mania

Hunter loves to ride motorcyles and fourwheelers as do I. He is getting pretty good at it too. He is alot more daring than I was at his age. We have a great time going to the sand dunes, riding at the motocross track by Smith & Edwards, or anywhere we can find some dirt to tear up!
One problem I have is that I wanted to put a video of Hunter riding on here instead of this picture, but having difficulty finding a good program to edit and compress the videos I want to upload. So I got to do a bit more research.

Soooo hard to say "goodbye".

Sydney loved my old truck, as did I, but she was a little more vocal about not wanting to get rid of it. She kept saying " I love this truck, don't sell it. You already have a silver truck, you don't need to buy Grandpa's". When the time finally came in March, she was a little upset but all that soon past when we got the new truck and she got to ride in it.
I really love my new truck that I bought from my dad. It drives so much better, has so much more room, and looks practically brand new. And Marci even likes to drive it!

Easter Tradition

It seems to have become a tradition that on Easter morning before church we take pictures of the family out on the front porch. This is the third Easter we have been at this house and the third year of taking photos of the Sydney in her beautiful new Easter dress, This year Hunter and Marci even got new pink shirts! I always love the pictures we take, especially this one of my beautiful wife and kids.

Here are some new music videos I like, Enjoy!

This a fun partying song from a new singer named Luke Bryan, the name of the song is "All My friends say".

Kellie Pickler - I Wonder

This video is alot better than her first one, Red High Heels, I couldn't stand that one. This one is quite a step up, though she will never come close to Cari Underwood in looks, talent, and overall star power.

Dierks Bentley "Long Trip Alone"

The volume is really low on this one, so turn it up.

Big & Rich "Lost in this Moment with You"

This is a great ballad from an awesome duo, who have not only sang a lot of good songs, but also are both very talented song writers. They both write their own songs and have wrote alot for some of the biggest names in country music.

Keith Urban "I Told You So"

I'm not quite sure why I like this song but I do. I haven't ever really been a huge fan of Keith Urban, but his last few singles I have really liked.

"Girlfriend" Avril Lavigne

Marci and Sydney really like singing this song.
