As soon as it was warm enough, the kids insisted on trying out their new swimsuits on the slip and slide.
We don't just celebrate Sydney's birthday for one day. This year we it lasted all weekend. It started on Thursday night with making her Student of the day poster that she presented in her first grade class on Friday.
Friday (her actual birthday) started bright and early at 6:30 with opening of presents. Here she is with her new American Doll Girl.

It was a great weekend. I'm so grateful for Sydney and all the joy she brings into my life. She is a special sweet beautiful girl. Love you Syd!Sydney and Hunter have both had school music programs in the last few weeks. Hunter's was a lip sync. He took his Rock Band drums and played them. All the first grade classes in Sydney's school sang a bunch of songs and Sydney had speaking part in between one of the songs.
The kids went rock climbing at IRock for their cousin Jake's birthday. They had a blast.
I think it must have been get your hair done by your daughter day! I loved it! And yes the pics are by Sydney too.
I had a great birthday! Thanks to all the birthday wishes, and for all those that made it great. We rode the Frontrunner down to Salt Lake and went to the Gateway and ate at my favorite restaurant, Tucanos Brazilian Steakhouse. It is so yummy! The kids had fun on the train and we all had an awesome time.
